In collaboration with NZ firm Mi5 Security, we have installed two time-lapse cameras on the Rees.

 

These record images of the river flow gauges at Invincible and the Paradise Road Bridge every 5 mins. 

 

The cameras are weatherproof (IP65 rated) and acquire image on a set timer or can be motion triggered.  Intelligent power control enables the cameras to be deployed remotely for over 5 months without swapping batteries.

ReesCams will be used to help infer the pattern of inundation as the channel wets up and can be time-synced to the river level monitoring at each site.
